How Does Timothy Ministries Work?

The goal of TM is to reproduce Paul’s model of church planting that we see illustrated for us all throughout the book of Acts, 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus.  Paul effectively planted churches because he combined training men and planting churches at the same time.  He gathered to himself a team of men, trained them, and then left them to pastor/oversee the churches that were planted. Paul then reproduced that model over and over again.  After he planted and trained, Paul would follow-up with the churches and his team members through visits and letters.  His training and on-going care gave strength and depth to the churches he planted and the men he trained.

The chart below shows Paul’s method demonstrated in a modern-day model.  The church planter, following in Paul’s footsteps, raises up a team of men to train.  As the planter trains the first team members, he works with them on planting the first church. Once that first church is planted and the first pastor is trained, the planter moves on to start a new church plant while adding on to the team to train.  The ultimate goal is to see “Timothy’s” trained not only to pastor the church plant, but to also train other Timothy’s to plant churches, perpetuating the model.

Maybe the Lord is calling you to be a Timothy?  You can be trained to be an effective pastor for a church plant!

Timothy Ministries uses a Pauline style of church planting to be able to accomplish multiple church plants in a short, yet efficient, amount of time.

    Our goals:
    1) To plant seven churches in twelve years.
    2) To train men to take over and pastor the church plant to maturity.
    3) To plant churches with a heart to plant churches.
    4) To establish more church planters... multiplying church plants.
